Calling All Seniors – Feb 3

Jan 18th, 2012 | By | Category: Around the Parish

The 4th meeting of our Seniors Group will take place on the first Friday of February. Join us on Friday, February 3, 2012, after the 9:00am Mass. Bring a favorite dish to share and perhaps some activity ideas. Many seniors are alone with no contact outside of those they come to know through attending Church. This is an excellent way to get to know others in this age group. Please consider joining us to talk, share ideas, and appreciate where we are in our lives!!

Readers Needed

Sep 23rd, 2011 | By | Category: Around the Parish

As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to actively participate in liturgy through presence, ritual action, prayer, silence and song. Readers proclaim the Word of God at liturgies. When we gather together to celebrate the Eucharist, we experience the presence of God in the sacrament of the Eucharist, in the presider, in one another, and in the proclamation of the Word. Readers are currently needed for all weekday Masses. A good speaking voice, an ability to read in public, and a willingness to study scripture are necessary. **You must be a fully initiated Catholic to be eligible to serve in this capacity. For more information contact Jane Cunningham at 770.329.9502.
